What kinds of corporate trips do you plan in Costa Rica?
We plan incentive trips, business retreats, board of directors meetings, and CEO and executive retreats. Programs can stay in one destination or move between several, including high-end boutique resorts in remote parts of the country.
What does Costa Rica Escapes handle for a corporate retreat?
We handle every phase: pre-program planning, program design and themes, budget planning, site selection, hotel contract negotiations, ground transportation, supplier coordination, on-site venue management, special events, gifts and awards, recreational activities, and on-site staffing and hospitality.
How large a group can you handle?
There’s no fixed maximum group size. The main consideration is planning time: the larger the group, the earlier we need to start to secure the right lodging, transportation and activities.
How far ahead should we start planning?
As early as you can. Larger groups and peak-season dates need the most lead time. December 20 to January 5 is peak season for Costa Rica hotels, and we recommend starting 10-12 months ahead for holiday dates.
Can you book large resorts for a corporate group?
Yes. For leisure trips we generally prefer smaller boutique properties, but corporate programs often need meeting space and room blocks, so we also work with larger and branded resorts, such as Four Seasons, Westin or Andaz, when they fit your program.
What team activities can you include?
Groups can raft, zip line, hike with naturalist guides, visit hot springs, take a coffee tour or spend a day at the beach. We match activities to your group’s fitness, interests and schedule.
How do attendees get around?
Private ground transportation is arranged for your group throughout the program, with vehicles sized for your attendees. Costa Rica has two international airports, San José (SJO) and Liberia (LIR), and we’ll plan arrivals around whichever fits your destination.
How much does a corporate retreat in Costa Rica cost?
Every program is quoted individually, based on group size, dates, destinations, hotels and inclusions. Proposals are free, and we negotiate hotel and supplier contracts to get the best possible value for your budget.
